Miguel Oliveira

The world of MotoGP is about to experience a new adventure, with the debut of Prima Pramac at Yamaha on the 2025 starting grid. This alliance raises many expectations for both fans and both teams, and the riders are no exception. For Miguel Oliveira, the Thailand Grand Prix will also be special for another reason.

After a successful winter testing period, marked by continuous improvements during the official sessions in Sepang and Buriram, Pramac riders Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira are ready to take on their new challenge under the direction of Gino Borsoi.

For Miguel Oliveira, this stage promises to be special for two reasons. In addition to starting this new adventure with Pramac, the Portuguese is preparing to take an important step in his MotoGP career. The Thailand Grand Prix will mark his 100th race in the premier class.

An event that he does not take lightly, since he assures that he is in a certain way galvanized by the fact of crossing the 100 appointment mark. “The start of this new season is really exciting for me. Joining the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP Team and starting this adventure with Yamaha represents a great opportunity and a new challenge that I approach with great determination.”

“We are working hard to adapt and grow together, and I am looking forward to getting on the track to continue to improve race after race, Miguel Oliveira continues in a statement published by the team. Arriving in Buriram and celebrating my 100th Grand Prix in MotoGP makes this moment even more special. It’s a milestone that makes me look back with pride while pushing me to give even more for the future. I’m ready to give my all for this new season!”

It remains to be seen whether the combination of Yamaha's technical expertise, and Pramac Racing's experience as a top team in recent years, will contribute to positive results early in the season for Oliveira and Miller. After a difficult end to pre-season, it seems more likely that Pramac will use this first race as a continuation of their preparation, with Oliveira not yet fully comfortable on the M1.
