A tough day for Fabio Di Giannantonio at Misano 2. While he has been convalescing since Austria, "Diggia" made a rather costly mistake this Friday. During the final attack, the Italian fell back on his damaged shoulder, which will further penalize his return to action. This injury comes at the worst possible time, that's for sure. Indeed, he has been on a very good dynamic since the start of the season, frequently ahead of his teammate Marco Bezzecchi.

"Diggia" will have to settle for 13th place, which means Q1 tomorrow morning. His weekend is not only compromised by this unpleasant position, but also by the pain felt in his already injured shoulder. « It was difficult today, the high speed fall was not necessary. I'm fine, but I took a big blow to my collarbone and my already injured shoulder. Since this morning, I have been having difficulty, especially on the right turns, where it hurts, and also on the straight. » he said just now.

 

 

He didn't need that, because his return is already complicated; in Aragon, he had already had contact on that same shoulder. An error that was a priori avoidable, and that's the worst. "I was hoping to make a step forward in the last run of the afternoon, but on the final lap, with the brakes not yet up to temperature, II made a mistake and lost the front. » he continued.

 

 

The rest will probably be made up of medication and forced accelerated rest. He remains positive and wants to look to the future to arrive at his best tomorrow, in order to beat a Q1 group that promises to be very tough. “Too bad, now let’s recover, analyze the data and give our best tomorrow.”
